• Question: Can this sail stay up all year round, even in snow or rain?
• Answer: Yes, when it is wet or snowy, it will temporarily sag slightly. Then it pulls back together, has taut lines, but this isn't frequent.
  
  
• Question: How transparent is the material?
• Answer: It's not transparent at all. It actually cools the terrace by about 15 degrees! I love it!
  
  
• Question: Can I attach it to trees?
• Answer: Yes, but you need to consider the tension caused by the movement of the tree in the wind. A very large tree (>18" in diameter) and up to 10-foot high mounts wouldn’t move much and wouldn’t stretch or tear the material. A smaller tree might move enough to tear it. A spring line would help as well as breakaway clips.
  
  
• Question: Does the wind come through, or is it deflected by this sail?
• Answer: The sail definitely deflects the wind or catches it like a sail. We use it with our pergola and roll it up and secure it when we’re not using it.
